Deputy Chief's Biography

Joe Humphries, Deputy Chief

Born 4-12-1983 in Tallahassee Florida and raised in Woodville until the age of three when he began his world travels moving to Anniston Alabama and Baumholder Germany before moving back to Woodville in July 1989.Joey graduated from Wakulla High School 2001and then onto Chipola Junior College graduating in November of 2003 with State and National Fire Standards.

Joey has worked as a paid fire fighter in Florida since February of 2004, working as a senior firefighter for Lynn Haven Fire Department and for St. Marks Powder as a Fire and Security Technician.

Joey graduated from Taylor Technical Institute receiving both his State and National certification as an Emergency Medical Technician in March 2008. Joey continued to serve the public working for Gadsden, Calhoun and Franklin Emergency Services. Joey is currently employed by the City of Tallahassee as Radio System Specialist working on the communication equipment including the 800 mhz dispatching system.

Joey has been a member of the Woodville Volunteer Fire Department since September of 2007 holding the ranks of Firefighter, Lieutenant and now serving the citizens as Deputy Chief of Operations.

This confident, dedicated, motivated Father of two brings with him a strong sense of family and dedication to the leadership team.
